Qualifications and Background
I am a Associate Counselor in the state of OR, with professional training and experience in individual and group therapy. I hold a master’s in counseling from Grand Canyon University
I have clinical experience working with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and emotional regulation.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach to counseling is collaborative, person-centered, and responsive to each client’s unique needs and pace. I believe in meeting clients where they are emotionally and supporting them in a respectful, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment.
I primarily utilize evidence-based practices including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Focuses on emotional connection and attachment, particularly effective in couples and relational work.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): A skills-based approach that supports emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Clients are encouraged to participate in setting goals and identifying the pace and structure of our work together.
