Qualifications and Background
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am an Associate Counselor in the State of Oregon with professional training and experience in individual and group therapy. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
I have clinical experience working with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and emotional regulation.
Therapeutic Approach
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My approach to counseling is collaborative, person-centered, and responsive to each client's unique needs and pace. I believe in meeting clients where they are emotionally and supporting them in a respectful, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment.
I primarily utilize evidence-based practices, including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Helps clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Focuses on emotional connection and attachment and is particularly effective in couples and relationship counseling.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A skills-based approach that supports emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Clients are encouraged to participate in setting goals and identifying the pace and structure of our work together.
