Qualifications and Background
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am a Registered Associate in the State of Oregon with professional training and experience in individual, family, and group therapy. I hold a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling, with a special emphasis in family counseling, from Grand Canyon University.

As required by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, I practice under clinical supervision while working toward independent licensure.

Clinical Supervision
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My clinical supervisor is:

David I. Manock, Ph.D., LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Oregon License Number: T1238

Therapeutic Approach
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My therapeutic approach emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and trauma-informed care. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore challenges, develop insight, and build resilience. I utilize evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.

Gottman Method (Certified)

The Gottman Method focuses on strengthening relationships by improving friendship, communication, trust, and conflict management. This approach helps couples and families build emotional connection, navigate disagreements effectively, and reduce destructive interaction patterns such as criticism, contempt, defensiveness, and stonewalling. The goal is not to eliminate conflict but to create stable, respectful, and emotionally connected relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy assists clients in recognizing and modifying unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that impact emotional well-being and daily functioning.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy emphasizes strengthening emotional bonds and attachment patterns. This approach is particularly effective in relationship-focused work and helps clients develop healthier emotional connections with themselves and others.
