Jessica Rice-Platt
Student Counselor
Hello, my name is Jessica Rice-Platt, MS
I’m a professional counselor student serving children, individuals, couples, and families. I believe everyone deserves the freedom to make their own choices—shaped by their story, struggles, and hopes. Counseling offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves we may have lost. As your counselor, I’ll serve as a mirror—helping you see both your strengths and the barriers holding you back. Our work is a journey we’ll take together, at your pace, with compassion and care.
I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to support connection, emotional regulation, and healing.
My focus includes trauma, PTSD, addiction, and codependency. I hold a BA in Spanish and Business from Portland State and will complete my MS in Clinical Psychology from Southeastern University in Spring 2025. I’ve spent over a decade in recovery work supporting lasting change.
Outside the therapy space, I’m a proud girl mom, married to a Nashville musician, and part of a musical, travel-loving family—our cat Marley included! I also run a clean beauty brand after 20+ years in Hollywood’s fashion and beauty industry.
